The arid and isolated Upper Mustang lies in the northwest region of Nepal. Trekking to Mustang inspires any travelers to explore centuries-old monasteries, barley fields created through the painstaking labor of local people, the high altitude trails and extreme deserts, religion, culture, and lifestyle of the local people.

This trip allows you to go where few have been before. Most of the trek keeps to arid, high deserts inhabited mostly by people of Tibetan stock. The menfolk are either traders or farmers while the women mostly tend the fields. The trek to this land of magic and mystery begins at Jomsom, following a flight to Jomsom and trek to Kagbeni, a ruined citadel town that guards the entrance into Mustang. Entering Mustang, we visit the 16th-century monastery at Charang and the fortress city of Lo-Manthang. Here we observe the splendor and traditions of old Tibet. On our return from Mustang, we may visit the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath and end our trek in Jomsom.
