Overview

Mt. Everest, the world’s highest Peak, (8848.86 m) above sea level, is located to the north of Nepal on the border between Nepal and Tibet. In Nepal, it is known as Sagarmatha and in Tibet by the name of Chomolungma. It lies in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas. Its massif includes neighboring peaks Lhotse (8,516 m) Nuptse (7,855 m) in Nepal and Changtse (7,580 m) in Tibet. Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay from Nepal first climbed the summit of the world on May 29, 1953. These duo climbers ascended Everest Base Camp via the South Col from the Khumbu glacier and continued their ascent to the summit via the southeast Ridge. This Southside route, thereafter, has been considered the most popular route to climb Mt. Everest from Nepal.

After a few days of acclimatization and climbing practice at the Everest Base Camp (5,380m), we begin our climb through the Icefall to Camp1 at dawn and return to our Base Camp. Our Sherpa guide at Base camp will practice all the expedition members to become familiar with Icefall. We will allow enough time for expedition members to be acclimatized well with the environment and altitude before we head to Camp2, Camp3, Camp4, and attempt the summit. We take expedition members to Khumbu Ice Fall, Kala Pathar, Gorakshep before moving to Camp 1. Our Everest summit plan normally happens in a single attempt on 7-9 days from Base Camp in this way- Everest Base Camp to Camp1, Camp1 to Camp2, Camp2 to Camp3, Camp3 to Camp4, Camp4 to Summit and back to Camp4, Camp3 to Base Camp and continue trek back to Lukla or take a helicopter to Lukla and then fly back to Kathmandu. Summit to Mt. Everest depends on weather and snow conditions.

Since 2008 over 25 international mountain expedition groups have been organized by High Mountain Himalaya Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd with the support of our highly professional climbing Sherpas with complete safety and 100 % success record to reach the summit.
