Overview 

Chepang Hill (1945m) lies on the Mahabharat range north of Chitwan National Park. Trekking to Chepang Village is an off-the-beaten path that offers spectacular views of the mountains and magnificent sunrise and sunset views. In clear weather, one can see the views of a range of Himalayan peaks such as Rolwaling, Dorche Lakpa, Gaurishankar, Langtang, Manaslu Range, Himalchuli, Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and have cultural experiences of Chepang communities.

Chepang is partly nomadic and depends on their livelihood on hunting, fishing, small agriculture, and gathering jungle products. They speak their language. Chepang hill trek gives completely different cultural experiences than the other normal treks.  

The trail is designed to lead through the homeland of Chepangs and their lovely villages to generate income possibilities for them and to raise awareness about Chepang culture among foreign visitors and Nepali people. This trail lies at a moderate altitude and in a comfortable climate zone. Finally, the trek will be followed by a relaxing jungle safari in Chitwan National Park, where you’ll experience all kinds of jungle activities.
