Tent Peak (5,695 m), also known as Tharpu Chuli Peak (Tent Peak), is one of the most outstanding trekking peaks of the Annapurna region. We begin our Tent peak climbing trip with an hour-long short drive to Naya Pul, located nearby Pokhara, and then trek to Tikhe Dhunga and keep continuing further on to Ghorepani. The next day we wake up early morning and make an excursion to Poon Hill, one of the most famous viewpoints to see the sunrise and Annapurna Mountain range. We gently walk through the interesting different ethnic villages, farmlands, and rhododendron forests enjoying a stunning 360 degrees panoramic view of the surrounding Mt. Annapurna massif, Hiunchuli, and the summit of Tent Peak. From Poon Hill, we slowly walk down to Deurali and continue further destination to Tadapani. It is a beautiful village with a close view of Mount Machapuchare (Fishtail).

Leaving Tadapani we make a steep descent to the Kimron Khola. After crossing the suspension bridge we make a steep ascent to the Chhomrong. village. It is also another beautiful village located on the lap of the Annapurna massive. While trekking we will get sights of a variety of wildlife and vegetation. After Chhomrong village we make our way to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp via Deurali and spend a night there. Today’s trek would be a bit strenuous, as we have to walk on the trail beside Modi River and pass through Himalaya hotel and Hinku Cave before reaching Deurali and Machhapuchhre Base Camp. While spending one more acclimatization day in MBC, we make a sunrise excursion to ABC, have breakfast there, and get back to MBC. After MBC and ABC it would be a thrilling experience to move ahead on a trail alongside the Annapurna glaciers and cross over moraines before we set up our tented camp at Tharpu Chuli base camp (4,130 m).

If time permits we will perform Puja ( prayer) the same day for the successful Summit at Tharpu Chuli Peak. Early morning we begin the climb to the summit around 2-3 am on a rocky trail for around 2 hours and then walk on level snow for around an hour, then climb on a steep slope of 70 degrees (100m). After a successful summit, we spend some time on top of Tharpu Chuli, then way back by the same route to the base camp. Then, we follow an alternative route to Himalaya Hotel and Jhinu Danda where we enjoy a Natural Hot Spring Bath. Then we head back to Phedi and drive to Pokhara. Finally, we end our trip to Kathmandu.
