Overview

Nepal offers more opportunities for trekking and mountaineering than any other countries in the world. Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has classified 28 peaks in Nepal as “trekking peaks” for commercial climbing expeditions. Some trekking peaks below 6,584 m especially Island Peak (6,160 m),  Chulu East Peak (6,584 m), Mera Peak (6,470 m), Saribung Peak (6,328 m), and Larkya Peak (6,416 m) are considered the least difficult and less challenging. So, any novice climbing enthusiasts with safety-conscious knowledge can easily attempt these trekking peaks without facing any excessive danger. Previous climbing experience is not necessary to climb these peaks, but it is very important that those novice climbers should be in physically and mentally strong condition. Apart from that the climbers must have the strong passion, enthusiasm and bold determination to attempt the climbs.
