Gokyo Lake – Renjo La Pass trekking is undoubtedly one of the most popular and adventurous ones as compared to other normal trekking routes of the Everest region. On this trek, you will explore the beautiful Gokyo LakeGokyo valley, Gyazumba Glacier, and Renjo La Pass (5,369 m) in the upper Khumbu valley. From the top of Gokyo Ri (5,369 m), you will enjoy a more distinct and closer view of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), the 6th highest peak, Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m), Mt. Makalu (8463 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m) and many other snow-clad Himalayan peaks from east to west.

Gokyo Lake – Renjo La Pass trekking after Gokyo Lake you will continue a long day trekking and cross over the Renjo La Pass (5,369 m). From the top of the Pass, you will enjoy the stunning views you can see full of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m), Cholatse Peak (6335 m), and Taboche Peak (6,367 m) many beautiful views from the top of Renjo La Pass (5,369 m). Much similar to that from Gokyo Ri. Besides, you will also enjoy the great view of Gokyo Lake with Mt. Everest on one side and Reklama Lake on the other side.

On this trekking, you follow the route through route Lukla, Phakdingma, Namche Bazaar – Khumjung Monastery, Phortse Tanga, Machhermo, Gokyo Lake, a cross of Renjo La Pass (5,369 m), Lungden, Thame, Namche Bazaar, Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. While heading for Gokyo Lake with Renjo La Pass you will spend one extra day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and at the same, you will enjoy an excursion around Sherpa’s villages, museums, Buddhists Stupas, Monasteries, and beautiful sights of the Himalayan Mountain Range. On the rest day at Namche Bazaar, you will make an excursion to Khumjung village, a typical Sherpa village.

Sherpa’s are ethnic people of the mountain region. Lots of the renowned climbers belong to this community. At Khumjung, you will meet local people and experience their culture and lifestyle. Visiting Khumjung Monastery makes your excursion more worthwhile. At the same time, you will visit Thame village where a famous Sherpa and Buddhist Monastery is located. In Thame Monastery you will meet Buddhist monks and see their daily rituals.
