Q1: What is Camping trekking? How is it organized?
In Camping trek you will be walking with a team fully equipped of all the necessary supplies and logistics. Camps will be set up at different stops on the route. Our team will be carrying tents, sleeping mats, dining tents, kitchen equipment, food supplies, Utensils and etc. for your comfort. In our team there will be guides, porters, cooks, and camping staffs. Camps will be set up at pre-decided locations by the team before you reach and the food will also be prepared there. Some of the most popular camping treks destinations are Rolwaling Valley, Upper Dolpo, Dudh Kunda, Dhaulagiri circuit, Limi Valley, Kanchenjunga Base Camp etc. Some of these destinations are the most isolated yet culturally rich regions of Nepal. Your day starts with a cup of tea/coffee brought to your tent. You will have a breakfast freshly prepared by the kitchen staff while other staff will pack the tents and equipment. Resume your trek and head out to the next destinations, lunch will be served along the way and the camps will be set before you reach at place for overnight stay

Q2: How is accommodation at camping trekking?
Accommodation at camping trekking is a completely different as compared to the teahouse treks. On camping trek, you will be staying and having meals at the tent. We provide high-quality mountain tents for all our camping trips. For every 2 persons, a tent is provided with a sleeping bag and mattress for comfortable stay. You can consider bringing along an extra mattress or inflatable mat. There will be a dining tent with chairs and table for you to have meals and also to spend time relaxing and talking. The accommodation at camping treks will definitely not be as comfortable as the accommodation at teahouse trekking, but it surely will give you exposure to nature and have a true experience of adventure.

Q3: What will be the food at Camping trek?
We provide hearty and delicious meals in the camping trek.  Our Chef will prepare exceptional meals and ensure its quality preparation during the trekking/climbing period on our climbing trips. You can also bring your extra food which you enjoy eating like chocolates, power bars, dry fruits, candies, other snacks etc. Since you will be travelling along with experienced logistics and cooks, you will be provided with a good standard of healthy food. Every food item will be prepared by the members of our crew. Some of the most common food items that are eaten in camping treks are bread, eggs, pancakes, porridge, muesli etc. for breakfast and Dal Bhat set, rice, noodles, pasta, spaghetti, momo, potatoes etc. for lunch and dinner.

Q4: Will I get altitude sickness?
The effects of altitude are quite random, and not necessarily related to how fit you are. The trick to avoiding sickness is not to over-do it. The effects of altitude are mostly likely to come on once you’re above 3000 meters, and once you’re at that height it’s not wise to ascend more than 300-400 meters per day. Sometimes that will mean short walking days of only a couple of hours, but if it means you don’t ascend too high, too quickly, this is necessary.

Q5: What happens in the case of emergency?
If you get in an emergency, we are ready to reach out and help you anyhow. Our guides are properly trained to tackle such situations. In the case of physical problems, the guides will help you out with their basic knowledge. If a serious emergency occurs, rescue operation by helicopter is available. Expenses on rescue operation by helicopter will be recovered from your insurance company.

Q6.What camping equipment does your company provide us?
Our company provides all camping equipment such as two-man tents, mattresses, tables, chairs, dining, and toilet tents, food, fuel, and of course, sleeping bags for camping trek.

Q7.How difficult is camping trekking in Nepal?
All the remote areas are physically demanding as it requires a 7-8 hours daily hike, cross over several mountain passes and walk through places untouched by mass tourism.

Q8.Is your staff fully equipped? What about their insurance?
All our trekking guides, chefs, Sherpas and porters are fully equipped and insured. Our employees have been operating treks in the mountains for several years. They have insurance that covers medical evacuation and treatment.

Q9.How safe is the food in the Camping trek?
In camping treks, we provide an experienced chef to prepare delicious meals with our own set of kitchen utensils and hygienic cleaning facilities. The food we serve to our guests on camping trips is completely safe.

Q10.How fit do I need to be for camping trekking?
As long as you are in average physical shape or reasonably fit and have a positive attitude, self-confidence and strong determination, you can do camping trekking in the Himalayas. If you are planning a trek longer than 10 days that involves going to high altitudes, exercising and jogging, or climbing stairs regularly before coming to Nepal definitely be rewarded.

Q11.How much should I tip to the guide and Porter?
Tipping for the guide and porter is common. Normally, 100 USD for one porter and double than porter for the guide is a basic tip after completing a successful trek. If you are very much satisfied with their service, that’s up to you how much plus you want to give tip.

Q12. Is there Communication facility on the trek?
Most trekking areas have landline or satellite telephone service and in some places, your cell phone can receive a network signal if the weather is stable. Some of the remote places in Nepal have internet access as well.

Q13. What about Travel Insurance?
It is compulsory that all the trekkers/travelers obtain Travel insurance with traveling and it is suggested that the travel insurance should cover all the expenses such as Rescue and Evacuation arrangements, Medical expenses, Loss of Baggage, and etc.
