Lake Gosainkund is sacred for both Buddhists and Hindus, and every Year full moon day in August many visitors throng to celebrate the Gosainkund Lake festival. From Lake Gosainkund you will enjoy panoramic views of snow-clad mountains extended as far as the Annapurna Himalayan Range. The large black rock in the middle of the Gosainkund Lake is regarded as the remains of Shiva and it is believed that the waters of the lake flow through the underground channel to the water basin of Khumbheshwar temple in Patan.
