Lobuje East Peak (6119 m) is one of the attractive trekking climbing peaks in Nepal. It lies in Everest Region along with several other trekking peaks.
Climbing Trip to Lobuche East Peak poses a challenge to both amateur and experienced climbers. However, you don’t need to have prior climbing experience. At least, outdoor experience and a sound level of fitness are required.
The climbing trip to Lobuche Peak starts with an exhilarating mountain flight to Lukla. From Lukla, you ascend slowly northward following the Everest Base Camp Trekking route up to Gorakshep. En route we pass through Sagarmatha National Park, Namche Bazaar, Thame, Lungden, cross over Renjo La Pass, Gokyo, Thagnag, cross over Chola Pass, Dzongla, Lobuche, Gorakshep, Climb to Kala Pattar, and further move to Everest Base Camp. The base camp will be set up at 4,950 m close to a lake in a rocky hollow at the base of the glaciated South-West Face. At base camp, our experienced climbing guide will give you a climbing clinic course and climbing technical skills so that you can build up enough confidence to achieve your goal to climb the summit.
From Base Camp, you will attempt to scale Lobuche Peak High Camp at (5,551 m) and set up camp at the base of the glaciated South-West Face. The views of Mt. Everest (8,848.86 m), Mt Lho Tse (8,516 m), Mt. Makalu (8,485 m), Mt. Nup Tse (7,864 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Mt. Pumori (7,138 m), Mt. Thamserku (6,618 m), Mt Tabuche (6,495 m) and many other mountains from the high camp look surprisingly superb.
The normal route for climbing to Lobuje East Peak is through South Ridge. The peak consists of several small summits and the true summit requires climbing steep snow and ice slopes to the top from the summit ridge. We have prepared the Lobuje East Peak climbing itinerary in such a way that allows enough acclimatization and climbing preparation for the ascent of the Lobuje peak.
